ColourRiot’s first project- a brand workshop for the Penryn ‘Youth Space’ giving the 25-young people an opportunity to share ideas/ come up with designs for the re-brand they wanted.
With the support of ‘Natural England’ and the ‘National Trust’, the aim was to develop the understanding and appreciation of the natural world through signage for the ‘Mullion WildSpace’.
Each of the six-habitats has its own signage resting inside the tree trunk and a wooden mushroom to identify the key species.
The journal is designed to be used in the ‘WildSpace’ alongside the National Cirriculum as an aid to learning and to re-introduce play into Key Stage 2.
A series of prompts provide a loose framework to encourage the pupil to pursue their own area of interest and creativity, a principle of the ‘Reggio Emilia’ educational strategy.
Inspired by the ‘Crossed Lines’ sketch by the ‘Two Ronnies’, the stamp collection is comprised of a 3-part nonsensical sentence to inject humour into letter writing, encouraging on-going correspondence.
