ISTD: 4’33”

The brief asked for a typographic representation of our own performance of John Cage’s 4’33”. After reading a newspaper for the time required, I produced a one-off publication portraying how a newspaper might have been if John Cage had been a publisher rather than composer.

The Project

A social movement/campaign to motivate people to use swear words in the ‘appropriate’ way. By producing a token system, allowing the participant one swear word per day, the aim is to stop people from swearing in a meaningless fashion, and focus on the power of such taboo words.

The Typographic Circle

A special edition publication for the Typographic Circle, to showcase the work of three designers who have given lectures for the aforementioned Circle.
